I wanted to take a minute and apologize for my lack of posts for the last two weeks. What started as an opportunity to work a few extra hours with a paint crew has now turned into a necessity.
My dog, Pippin, went “off her feed” several days ago. What we thought was just a temporary thing persisted and prompted a visit to the emergency vet Saturday morning. After several hundreds of dollars worth of tests, we left with no clear diagnosis, but with a foreboding sense that it was bad. Our plan was to try and feed her anti-nausea medication and antibiotics until our vet opened this morning.
After the visit to our vet we are still no clearer on her diagnosis. Other than we now know we can’t afford the tests to divine the diagnosis, let alone treat her. She’s home now. Resting comfortably.
We will continue treating her with antibiotics and all the herb lore Samantha can muster.
With the addition of Pip’s vet bills I’m going to have to spend the foreseeable future working with my paint crew on what have recently been my writing days. I will do my best to continue to find the time to write but cannot promise with what regularity I will post.
Sorry to be such a downer, but if you have them and they go for that sort of thing, hug your dogs tight. Dave
All strength to Pippin.
